Setting 4 Corners of Plans

(Optional)

1. Click the 4 Pts button on the left menu to digitize the 4 corners of the plans.

2. Setting the 4 corners is optional and does not have to be done. The 4 corners has 2 functions. The first is to size the plans on the screen. If you are digitizing some small plans on a big digitizer, by digitizing the 4 corners, the software will zoom the on screen digitizing window to be the size of the plans instead of the digitizer.

3. The second purpose is to add the ability to edit plans after they have been removed from the digitizer, by realigning the plans on the digitizer. If the 4 corners have been initially digitized and the plans saved to a file, the plans can be removed from the digitizer, replaced on the digitizer at a later date, the data file loaded and the program will prompt if the file is to be realigned. The user then redigitizes the 4 corners which realigns the plans. The plans do not have to be placed on the same spot (they even can be rotated 90 degrees).

5. You must make on the plans where the 4 corners are that have been digitized OR use the 4 corners of the piece of paper.

6. After clicking the 4 Pts button the program will prompt for each corner to be digitized:

7. Digitize the corners in the order requested on the screen - upper left, lower left, lower right, and upper right. The digitizing window will display the points on the screen with lines clicking the points.
