Place items on digitizer
1. Place items to be digitized on the
digitizer. The items can be paper with a tracing of the item,
cardboard templates, or the actual part to be digitized. The
digitizer can register up to 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch above the
surface of the digitizer.
2. When digitizing actual machines be
careful to not scratch or dent the surface of the digitizer
especially the rollup digitizers. The hardboard digitizers have
a fairly durable Formica surface but denting the surface will
damaga the internal electronics.
3. The digitizer uses the magnetic field
generated by the pen stylus or cursor to calculate the location
of the point. Be careful that other magnetic fields to not
affect the digitizing.
