What's New in DesignCAD Version 15?

With DesignCAD™ 3D MAX Version 15 you can set the base drawing units in the current drawing. This means you can choose to draw in miles, feet, inches, millimeters, centimeters, meters, or kilometers. You can also choose to draw in the "classic" unitless mode.

Raster-to-Vector Conversion Tool

DesignCAD 3D MAX Version 15 includes an integrated Raster-to-Vector converter so you can scan in your paper drawings and convert them to editable CAD files saving you hours in design time.

Hatch Pattern Position

The Hatch Pattern Position allows the user to change the seed location from which a hatch pattern is referenced, effectively panning the hatch pattern within its boundary. You now have the ability to add words on Hatch entities and on Double Line entities with hatch pattern fills.

Running Snap Settings

The Running Snap Settings allows the user to turn Running Snaps on or off, and toggle the usage of individual running snap modes. Optional snap modes are:

LineSnap

MidpointSnap

IntersectionSnap

TangentSnap

Hide / Restore Toolbars

Hide / Restore All Toolbars is a handy feature if you need a quick way to increase the drawing area temporarily. It toggles all currently active toolbars on or off.
