The Logic Trace Software has the ability to move windows to other devices and use them to control the digitizer or expand the display. For example move the control window to a cell phone or tablet, place the device on the digitizer, and use the buttons on the device to control the digitizer and software. Or move the Display window to a large external monitor for better viewing. Or move the Display window onto an Ipad for putting on the digitizer while tracing.

The software uses the windows ability to setup external devices as external displays. A third party software program is needed to setup the computer and devices. Any third party software program can be used but we recommend SPACEDESK, instructions below. The program is free and comes in multiple languages.

Video We have a video on how to install and use the SPACEDESK software: Video 1

1 On your windows computer (that has Logic Trace Software installed download and install SPACEDESK DRIVER SOFTWARE for Windows PRIMARY PC (server) https://www.spacedesk.net/#download

2 On your device (cellphone, ipad, tablet) download and install the Spacedesk Viewer App

3 The Spacedesk App does not use the internet to connect devices but it does use the Wi-Fi. Both the computer and device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi. Check both the computer and device.

4 Start the Spacedesk App on the device. It should automatically find the computer. Click the IP address on the device to connect. If the app does not find the computer, start the Spacedesk program on the computer and it will display the IP address on he screen. In the Spacedesk app on the device, click the '+' button to manually input the IP address and add it. Click the IP address and it should connect.

5 On the computer setup the additional screen. Click windows Settings, System, Display, change the setting to Extend these displays.

6 On the device, setup the Spacedesk settings. I have found the best way to do this is force stop the app, start it again click the button with the three horizontal line, click settings. Change the rotation to auto-rotation is checked. Change the resolution to 1024x600. (By all means experiment).

7 If the buttons and text are two small you can make them bigger in the Logic Trace Setup. In a future release we will have the ability to make the buttons bigger just in the device.
